Who’s Matt?
Matt Douglas is an illustrator and designer living in Burlington, Vermont, where he makes art, drinks maple syrup and occasionally hikes through the seven levels of the candy cane forest.
Matt’s creative journey began in Vergennes, Vermont, where he spent his childhood consuming healthy amounts of Looney Tunes, Ren & Stimpy, while binge-reading Calvin & Hobbes.
His teenage years were spent perfecting his favorite band logos and crime-fighting ducks in the margins of Algebra notebooks, leading him to pursue a career in art.
After high school, Matt packed his bags for the Low Country and attended the Savannah College of Art & Design, where he majored in illustration and minored in dodging meter maids.
Lucky for him, Matt’s had the chance to work with some pretty awesome clients, creating gig posters for Guster, The Sam Roberts Band, and Of Monsters & Men to name a few.
His work has even made its way into galleries around the world, from New York City to Amsterdam. But some of his most favorite pieces are those he’s made for local clients like The Vermont Lake Monsters, Burlington High School and Seven Days.
